SCRIPTURE:
“He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.”
Isaiah 33:6
OBSERVATION:
This reminds us that God is the only sure foundation in every season of life. Circumstances may change, people may disappoint us, and the future may feel uncertain, but God remains faithful and unchanging. In Him, we find salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. These are treasures that the world cannot take away. The verse also teaches that the fear of the Lord is the key to receiving these treasures. To fear the Lord means to honor Him, respect His authority, trust His wisdom, and live in obedience to His Word.
APPLICATION:
I need to build my life on God rather than on temporary things. When I feel anxious about the future, I can remember that God is the sure foundation for my times. Instead of depending only on my own understanding, I should seek His wisdom through prayer and Scripture. I also need to examine whether my choices show genuine reverence for God. As I honor Him and follow His ways, He will guide me and help me discover the treasure of His salvation, wisdom, and knowledge.
PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for being the sure foundation of my life. When my circumstances feel uncertain, help me to trust in Your faithfulness. Fill me with Your wisdom and knowledge, and remind me of the salvation I have in You. Teach me to fear You with reverence, to honor Your Word, and to obey Your direction. May my life be firmly built on You in every season. In Jesus’ name, amen.
