SCRIPTURE:
“One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.”
Psalm 145:4
OBSERVATION:
David calls on the generations to share of what The Lord had done. To share of the wonderful works and mighty acts of God. There’s no specific generation spoken of here. Not just the older generation sharing with the younger, but vice versa as well.
APPLICATION:
I was recently invited to speak at a Young Adults retreat. I wasn’t ready for what I walked into. The energy in the room was palpable. The Holy Spirit was present as they worshipped and shared of all that The Lord had done in their lives. The telling of what God had done and the witnessing of it in real time brought tears to my eyes. I began to weep at the back of the room as the younger generation ministered to me, not in word but in the transformation of hearts that took place right in front of me.
As I got to share, there was a mutual exchange that took place. An encouragement of one another’s faith (Romans 1:12), through speaking of God’s great and mighty acts in our lives. The Word says let the redeemed of The Lord say so. There is great power when we can speak of God’s goodness in our lives. Praises that stir others up when we speak of His mighty acts.
When we are in a position to do so, we must speak of God’s works and goodness to those around us.
PRAYER:
Father Almighty. Forgive me Lord when I have pulled back from sharing of Your mighty acts. Thank You Lord for the reminder to share of what You have done in my life. May I commend Your works to the generations around me, this I pray, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
