Trusting Through Generations

SCRIPTURE:

“Your name, Lord, endures forever, your renown, Lord, through all generations. For the Lord will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants.” 

Psalm 135:13–14

 

OBSERVATION:

As believers we are reminded God’s name and character never change. Human leaders, kingdoms, and circumstances come and go, but the Lord remains faithful throughout every generation. This also shows that God cares deeply for His people. He does not ignore their struggles or suffering. Instead, He promises justice, mercy, and compassion toward those who serve Him.

APPLICATION:

I can trust God even when situations in life feel uncertain or difficult because His character is eternal and dependable. Im encourage  to remember that God sees my struggles and cares about what I am going through. Instead of relying only on my own strength, I should place my confidence in Him and remain faithful, knowing that He will guide and sustain me.
I learned from Pastor Wayne that 80% of what I know will be passed on to the next generation. My relationship with the Lord is important because it shapes how I respond, obey, and navigate the toughest challenges in my life. My faith is not only a testimony for myself, but also for the next generation. I have learned and seen God’s faithfulness through every storm, and because of that, I can encourage others to keep trusting Him.

PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for being faithful through every generation. Help me to trust You more when life feels uncertain. Remind me that You are compassionate and always aware of my needs. Strengthen my faith so I can continue serving You with confidence and peace. Amen.

Pua Palakiko

Pastor Pua-kiele Palakiko has been with New Hope Oahu since 2007. In the summer of 2008 during a youth camp, God called her  into Full Time Ministry and Pua began serving as a Youth Leader in the Youth Ministry. She is now on staff as the Equipping Pastor, overseeing leaders of our  Youth + Young Adults Ministries and our Children’s Ark Ministry. She oversees our Emerge Internship and has the honor to train, build and equip future church leaders. She is also a gifted speaker and worship leader.


Pua has a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministries and a Master’s Degree in Formational Leadership. She is humbled and honored to have the privilege to see God's people “Discover, Develop and be Deployed in their God giving gifts.”
