SCRIPTURE:
“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah, and He will reign for ever and ever.”
Revelation 11:15
OBSERVATION:
Ezekiel 29–32 contains prophecies against Egypt — a powerful nation that seemed untouchable at the time. Pharaoh believed he was strong, secure, and self-sufficient, yet God declared that earthly power is temporary.
Then in Revelation 11, heaven announces a final and eternal truth: God’s kingdom will ultimately reign forever.
Earthly kingdoms rise and fall.
Human power fades.
But God’s authority remains eternal.
What looks dominant today will one day bow before Christ.
APPLICATION:
It’s easy to become discouraged when the world feels unstable or when powerful systems seem overwhelming. Sometimes evil, pride, or injustice appears to be winning.
But Scripture reminds me that history is not random — God is still writing the story.
What I see right now is not the final chapter.
God sees beyond temporary headlines, temporary powers, and temporary struggles. His kingdom is the only kingdom that will never fall.
That truth gives me peace.
I do not need to panic when the world shakes because my hope is anchored in a King whose reign has no end.
PRAYER:
Lord, thank You that You are sovereign over every nation, every ruler, and every season of history. When the world feels uncertain or overwhelming, help me remember that Your kingdom alone is eternal. Keep my heart grounded in hope and not fear. Teach me to trust Your greater plan even when I cannot fully see it. Thank You that You are still reigning and still writing the story. In Jesus’ name, amen.
