ABOUT THIS MONTH’S SPEAKERS:
Ben Vegas is an internationally-renowned guitarist and Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winning artist. Playing with legendary artists including Stevie Wonder, Olivia Newton-John, Ray Charles, and Kenny Rogers, he is known for his powerful voice, heartfelt worship, and decades of faithful service in music ministry. Raised in Palolo Valley, Ben turned his passion for music into a full-time calling, spending over a decade on the mainland where he performed across the U.S. and internationally. Back home in Hawaii, he earned three #1 hits with the groups Krush and 5:05, and has been honored with Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.
Chris Johnson is the President and CEO of Hawaii Pacific X-Ray Corporation, a family-founded business that has served Hawaii’s medical community with top-quality diagnostic imaging equipment since 1986. A graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a long-time member of the Hawaii business community, Chris has built a career marked by strategic leadership, integrity, and a commitment to serving others. He is also a McKinley High School graduate, a former coach, and a man of faith who has seen God multiply his potential through business, mentorship, family legacy, and faithful stewardship.
Pastor Donovan Sabog is the Executive Pastor at New Hope Oahu, where he has attended since 2004 and served on staff since 2020. He is a graduate of Punahou School and Yale University, where he earned B.A. degrees with distinction in History and Economics. At Yale, he was Head Recruitment Coordinator for Yale Undergraduate Admissions and performed with the Yale Spizzwinks and Yale Whiffenpoofs a cappella groups in 25 states and 30+ countries. After internships at Alexander & Baldwin, American Savings Bank, Pacific Forum CSIS, and the United States Senate, He later worked as a management consultant in New York City. He also holds an M.A. in Formational Leadership from Lancaster Bible College and Capital Seminary, and is passionate about helping people experience God’s love and discover their God-given potential.
