SCRIPTURE:
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1
OBSERVATION:
These ten words started it all. Human history starts with God. God made something out of nothing. He took something that was formless and void and made something with purpose, design, and beauty. We are made in the image of this magnificent Creator.
God has given us the framework to become co-creators with Him. God took something that was out of order and put it in order. God is a god of order. He is calling us to take something from a lower glory to a higher one.
APPLICATION:
God is calling me to take the wheel and keep listening. I have 365 days in this calendar year to reorder my life according to the Word of God—to make a difference. Yes, it’s easy to say “Jesus take the wheel.” However, what if God is saying, “You take it and listen to me.” We now have the responsibility to listen and obey.
God hasn’t called me to worry about the things out of my control, but to steward the things that he has put in my control. That’s what I will be held accountable for. I will order my thoughts, habits, and time around making things as God had intended them to be, hence heaven on earth! It starts with me.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord,
Would you help me follow your ways? I need your guidance every moment, second, and hour of the day. I know I’m not called to steward everything, but I am called to steward everything you have given me. Would You help me to discern the difference. Amen.
