SCRIPTURE:
“Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty - and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They tell of the power of your awesome works - and I will proclaim your great deeds. They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
Psalm 145:3-7
OBSERVATION:
This psalm of David, captures what David had learned through His life as to who God is and what He does. Thus, David’s response was to praise the Lord for all that all he knew God to be and all that He does. What I love is that David meditates on it all to let it sink in and therefore be innate within and subsequently continue to feed His spirit.
APPLICATION:
As I stop and think of the greatness of God, how much He loves us that He would sacrifice Jesus for us, and taking to heart what He has done at New Hope in that last 5 years, and 25 before that, I want to follow suit from David’s psalm to meditate and give praise for who He is and that ALL that He as done. I think of this past weekend with the Hawaii Leadership Conference, and we are being on the cusp of revival in Hawaii. May we not miss this opportunity or not take it to heart pursuing what God is doing.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, thank you for who you are Abba Father, your love for us to sacrifice your son Jesus’ life that we would have life eternal, and to see what you continue to do as we take hold of the Great Commission, may we continue to follow in your will, your way, and your calling toward REVIVAL here in Hawaii and beyond.
