Transformation is Transportation to the Destination

SCRIPTURE:

22 If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.

Exodus 23:22

OBSERVATION:

The vehicle to the promised land wasn't military might or strength or strategy—it was transformation.  God would do the heavy lifting, while their job was to carefully listen and obey all God commanded them. However, they failed miserably.

Their mission was to trust, listen, and obey. They couldn’t do it. They looked to do things their way and in their timing. They trusted in themselves. Their victory would have been certain if they just trusted, listened, and obeyed the Lord.

APPLICATION:

How far away is the promised land? Could it have been just beyond obedience? Pastor Wayne once said, “Prepare for your future and let it come to you.” It’s simple but not easy.

I need to stop worrying about the future and start preparing for the future. My transportation to my destination is the transformation. So instead of rushing into what I desire, I will run into intimacy, because close proximity to Christ is transformation.  Therefore, I will focus on the preparation and surrender the timing and directing to the Lord! I become, and He directs!

PRAYER:

Dear Lord,

Thank you for making my job simple; however, I know it is impossible without you. Would you help me gain intimacy with you. Amen.
