SCRIPTURE:
“As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, ‘In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”
2 Corinthians 6:1-2
OBSERVATION:
Paul warns them as co-workers partnering with God that the time is now, and not to let the opportunity pass. God has heard, is responding, and we are to act. This would relate to both God’s grace to us, and God’s grace extended to others that provide us with an opportunity to partner with God and be used by God.
APPLICATION:
Procrastination with good intentions happens at times with me. I think of a great idea or something important but not crucial that I need to do. And then, I don’t get around to it, or the opportunity gets caught up in other things. I know that I have been called to my present position and this family of NHO. I know that we all need to Carpe Diem – “seize the day,” seize the moment,” for God. If God’s hand is moving, I need to get moving. The best intentions without action don’t get the job done or the opportunity seized. Thus, let’s take the reins and ride.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, may I stay focused, ready, willing, and able to take action to do your will as I know that your favor is flowing and need to seize the day, seize the moment for you to do your will, plan, and purpose.
