He Came, Saved & Taught – We Follow, Live & Wait

by John Tilton on June 30, 2025

SCRIPTURE:

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ
Titus 2:11-13

OBSERVATION:

Not many words, but so succinct as to how Jesus came to save us, train us, and call us; that we would follow Him, live a disciplined life, and await His return.  It’s a clear blueprint of God’s plan of life eternal through Jesus and living life in waiting.  Each word in the scriptures has value and meaning.

APPLICATION:

As Jesus is the grace that has appeared, I have to intentionally be mindful of God’s grace which is Jesus, His love which is what Jesus did on the cross, and His hope in “how then shall we live,” until He returns.  I must always remember that He is in me, and that I am His vessel, that will be poured out upon His return.  In the meantime, may I follow, life and wait with his grace, love, and blueprint.

PRAYER:

Dear Lord, your words can seem so succinct but be reach in your plan of “how then shall we live.”  I pray that I would hold in high value who you are, what you did on the cross, and that you will return in all your glory.  May I keep and walk my faith in the way that you call me to live.  I do it all in gratitude and duty.
