Grace is Enough

by Mary Waialeale on April 12, 2026

SCRIPTURE:

“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’”

2 Corinthians 12:9

OBSERVATION:

This verse used to stump me when I was a new Christian.  I didn’t understand the word ‘grace’ and what it meant.  I thought grace was what came after the problem was solved.

Instead, God said, My grace is enough.

One acronym for grace that helped me later was:

G.R.A.C.E. — God’s Redemptive Action at Christ’s Expense.

Grace isn’t God overlooking my weakness.
It’s God stepping into it—because of Jesus.
Because of the Cross.
Because the tomb is empty. Because He conquered death and gives us eternal, everlasting life.

Easter reminds me that God’s power doesn’t always look the way I expect.
Sometimes it looks like carrying me just because He loves me.

APPLICATION:

I can trust that His grace is working in my life.

I don’t have to be strong to follow Jesus.
I just have to stay close to Him.

Today, I choose to lean into grace—not as a distance concept,
but as a gift I live in because Jesus gave everything for me.

PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for Your grace—even when I don’t fully understand it.
Thank You for meeting me in weakness and not turning away.
Help me trust that Your grace is truly sufficient,
because of what Jesus did for me.
Amen.
