SCRIPTURE:
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common.”
Acts 2:42-44
OBSERVATION:
Believers, followers, and apostles desired the teachings, the fellowship, and the communing together and because of that, God provided wonders and signs, and they enjoyed a common bond of Christ. Note that it was their seeking God’s teaching, fellowship together and communion which resulted in God releasing signs and wonders.
APPLICATION:
I am so blessed to see the same today here at New Hope. As the Women in the Word, the Men in the Word, and all the ministries make an intentional effort to study and share in God’s word, fellowship together, and commune with one another; like our prayer time last week, we saw miracles happen before us – people healed, and prayer requests take place on the spot. May we diligently continue in what God is doing as we are obedient in His calling on us and our intention to commune with Him and one another.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, THANK YOU! Thank you for your prompting that our vision this year would be “CHOSEN to Co-Mission.” That we would intentionally make our lives and co-missioning with you in who we are becoming in your through your word, prayer, and participating in your calling and our serving you in our lives.
