SCRIPTURE:
“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.”
Philippians 1:9–11
OBSERVATION:
Paul’s prayer reveals a mature, holistic picture of Christian growth. Love is not vague emotion but a love that grows in knowledge and depth of insight. This kind of love sharpens discernment, enabling believers to recognize what is excellent not merely what is acceptable. The goal is a life that is pure, blameless, and fruitful. And that fruit is not self-generated; it comes through Jesus Christ and results in God’s glory. Christian maturity is therefore rooted in Christ, shaped by wisdom, and expressed in righteous living.
APPLICATION:
My very heart is to teach, disciple, and equip young and old to reach this goal. The whole idea is this: the hungry should learn to feed themselves but not just feed themselves, go deeper. I long to guide people beyond spiritual basics, helping them grow in wisdom, discernment, and a love that is anchored in truth. My passion is to see believers become rooted, steady, mature, and fruitful people whose lives overflow with the righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, all for the glory and praise of God.
It challenges me to pursue a faith that keeps deepening one that refuses to settle for surface-level spirituality. True love for God and others grows through seeking His truth, understanding His ways, and allowing the Spirit to sharpen my discernment.
PRAYER:
Lord, may my love overflow with Your wisdom and insight. Teach me to discern what is excellent and live in a way that honors You. Let the fruit of righteousness grow in me not by my strength but by Your Spirit working through me. Make my life a testimony that brings glory and praise to You. Amen.
