A Righteous Heart Ready for Revelation

SCRIPTURE:

“These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God. And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence. And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. And God said to Noah, ‘I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.’”

Genesis 6:9–13

OBSERVATION:

Noah was found righteous in his generation a generation marked by corruption and violence. While the world around him turned away from God, Noah chose to walk with Him. Because of Noah’s righteous and obedient heart, God entrusted him with divine revelation. God revealed to Noah what He was about to do and gave him an assignment that would prepare him and his family for the future.

God desires to commune with us in the same way. He longs to reveal deep and hidden things to His people. Scripture affirms this truth in Daniel 2:22, “He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him,” and Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to Me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”

There is so much the Father wants to reveal, but our hearts must be ready to receive. Like Noah, a heart postured in righteousness and intimacy with God becomes fertile ground for divine revelation.

APPLICATION:

I desire a heart of righteousness and obedience like Noah’s. God did not give Noah a small or easy task He entrusted him with a massive assignment that would save generations. I am not perfect, and I fall short of God’s glory daily, but my desire is to pursue the Lord with a heart fully wrapped in His love.

Noah’s heart was ripe in his season, ready to receive the seed of God’s Word that would secure his future. As I step into this new year, I want my heart to be ripe with righteousness ready for God to reveal my next assignment and purpose. I want to be prepared not just to hear God’s voice, but to obey it fully.

PRAYER:

Lord, as I begin this year, I pray that my heart would be ready to receive from You. Let Your will be done in my life, and help me remain obedient no matter what conditions come my way. Keep my heart kingdom minded and sensitive to Your voice. Teach me to prepare my heart first, so I can receive the plans and the secret things You desire to reveal. I trust You with my future. In Jesus’ name, amen.
