Rien Vidad

Edification Pastor

Rien has attended New Hope Oahu since 2005 and joined the staff in 2023.  As Edification Pastor, he oversees the connection and care needs of the NHO Ohana, through various discipleship ministries, small groups, affinity groups and community care.

Rien is married to Malama and has one son, Kaniela.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health Education from The University of Arizona.

Rien serves alongside his wife Malama, as they lead the LifeChange Ministry at NHO.  One of his greatest joys is walking alongside the Lord’s people, as they receive their healing and transformation, so they can maximize their God-given potential and walk in the calling God has for their lives.
