The first year of Emerge Internship focuses on the heart of serving and alignment with the culture of New Hope. Every 6 weeks you get to serve in a different ministry of the church to gain an enriched, hands-on experience.

In addition, you have weekly School of Church Leadership (SCL) classroom sessions, volunteer hours with your ministry overseer as well as learning how to work through different elements at our Midweek Service. The Internship includes a fall retreat and a Spring Break mission trip as well.

The second year of Internship allows you to dive deeper into the internal ministry structure by selecting a singular ministry to serve more in-depth.

Watch your confidence grow, your passions be found, and the Kingdom of God emerge in your life.

Academics

Emerge Internship provides two tracks for education that will aid in your leadership growth.

School of Church Leadership
We offer Fall and Spring courses on Tuesday mornings from 5:30 am- 7:30 am in a classroom setting. Key leaders and Pastors from New Hope and various churches around the island will share biblical leadership gems learned along the way. We will also be offering a certification course each semester taught by Pastor Wayne Cordeiro. We welcome all learners who desire a better understanding of Christian leadership principles that can be applied not only to today’s church culture but marketplace business as well.

(optional)
Pacific Rim Christian University
Pacific Rim Christian University prepares academically and spiritually integrated servant leaders to become independent thinkers who are passionate innovators for Christ and His world. They are passionate about the growth and formation of their students – spiritually, academically, and in character!

We endeavor to provide a college experience that will elevate a person to his or her God-given potential. The University not only allows a student to learn how to minister effectively in a safe, friendly, and encouraging environment, but to also discover the One we serve, the world we live in, and the people we live alongside. From AAs to MDivs, PRCU offers comprehensive, accredited degree programs that help students think critically and strengthen themselves and their calling in the ministry.

School scholarships are available for full-time students in a work-study format. Scholarship recipients are required to apply for FAFSA and are responsible to fulfill all financial obligations with PacRim.
