Trusting God!

Rod Shimabukuro

Job 40:2 “Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let him who accuses God answer him!”
And the Lord said to Job...! How would I like to hear God’s reprimand in this way? That’s what suffering and hardship can do in relationship with God - it can callouss and deter our minds and attitudes. Job seemed disillusioned through all his pain and suffering. I’m amazed that he learned to deeply trust God through all that he had been through.

The very God who we acknowledge as sovereign, faithful, loving will be the One we question and oppose.
I want to continue trusting God’s sovereign rule over my life. So many unfortunate things happen in this life. I just don’t want to be found correcting and contending with God - when I don’t understand His ways.

Today, I want to be quick to trust God - no matter the circumstance. Not that everything that happens is of God, but I want to process with Christ in mind, knowing that i may not be able to fully understand or explain life’s mishaps and misfortunes. Growing in discernment will mean growing in meditating on His Word, deeply, meaningfully.
Dear Jesus, Thank you for Your grace in my heart - to trust You. Life has been good, no major problems. But help me to grow in trust and love with You. To learn to discern what is of You, my flesh, the world or the enemy. May I never be found contending or arguing with You.
