I am loved, no matter what!

Rod Shimabukuro

And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:16-17
The interaction, the heart of the Father towards His Son, the blessing and commissioning of Jesus’ ministry - is an example for us to intently meditate on, observe and learn from. This was the ordination and commissioning of all time! The Father’s recognition of His Son on earth, paved the way for Jesus’ ministry - as the Son of God!

Before Jesus did anything as the revealed Messiah and anointed Son of God, the Father said I’m pleased with You. The union of the Spirit of God, descending upon Jesus confirmed the Fathers pleasure. I think it was more than an empowering by the Spirit to “do ministry”, but an encounter of the Spirt’s rest, peace and the Father’s pleasure and love!
I am so grateful for my Father’s pleasure and love, poured out in my heart by the Holy Spirit! There is no need for me to “do great works for Him.” But He has anointed and gifted me to do well - to live well unto Him. I see some children of God struggling with their identity, based on their works, gifts, talents. So many of us are insecure and have need of our Heavenly Father’s pleasure and love to be revealed IN US and POURED OUT UPON US!

It’s satisfying and peaceful to know that I am well pleasing in His sight because of Jesus presence, love in me. It’s not by works, service, duty that I am found pleasing or made right in God’s eyes. It’s because of Jesus in me. He’s pleased with me because I am His child.

Yes, I desire to be an obedient King’s kid. My my obedience is not and will never deter or minimize His love and pleasure for me. I am accepted, secured and loved!
Thank you Father! Thank you Jesus! Thank you Spirit of God! May I live pleasing in Your sight, realizing that IN YOU, I am loved, accepted, secured and can live in peace!
