Ready to Die - ready to Live!

Rod Shimabukuro

If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints. Revelation 13:10

John’s vision includes a vile beast with 7 heads, 10 horns - uttering blasphemous statements against the people of God. It is the non Christians whose names are NOT written in the Lamb’s book of life who will reap the wrath of this beast. The beast is said to be given authority over the non-Christians. Even the saints bearing the name of Christ will be conquered in this life (world). Endurance and faith of the saints are very clear characteristics needed when this beast appears. It sounds like Christians will die for their faith in Jesus.

Better dying for faith in Christ, than being slain by the beast who will have authority over all people. I’m glad my name is written in Jesus the Lambs Book of Life! It will mean that my eternal life with God is secure. But if I am to go through the end times with this beast appearing, I must be ready to endure, have faith in Jesus and be put to death.

My spirit says I’m ready to die as a Christ believing saint. Am I? I hope so! Today, my call to endurance stirs my desire to be strong ion the Lord and in the power of His might. To put on the full armor of God starts with being in Christ and Christ in me! To know Him deeply, to be fully in love, committed and alert to His ways and life.

Dear Jesus -

You are preparing me to be ready to die - to be ready to live with You… forever and ever! Please help me to develop an endurance, with faith in You, to be ready to face suffering - even to the point of death.

Ready me Lord, in heart, mind, soul and strength - for Your purposes - not mine. Oh Lord - have mercy on me… to be so devoted to You that I would not doubt or betray You. Help me Lord! I love You!!
