God's Gift Of Hope

Richard Waialeale

Luke 2:11 (NIV) Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.

God is not finished with you. If your heart is still beating, if you’re still taking a breath, it means God has a plan for the rest of your life. The reason God sent a Savior to earth is to give us HOPE. That is His gift to us, and it’s free.
You can either choose His plan or reject it. If you reject it, you have more problems than normal.

The more I trust God, the more my life is filled with joy.
The more I trust God, the more my life is filled with His peace.
The more I trust God, the more my life is filled with hope.
The key is to trust the one who is the source of all things.
God’s forgiveness takes care of your past – all of the things you’ve ever done are forgiven and washed away.
God’s peace and strength gives you help in the present.
Then God’s purpose and plan for your life gives you hope for the future.
What a deal - Past, present, future.
Why did Jesus Christ come at Christmas? Because He didn’t want to love you from a distance. And God wanted to love you up close so He came at Christmas.
I must do whatever it takes to clearly and creatively share the Good News of Jesus Christ. We're in the business of saving lives and winning souls over to Jesus. God gives me this opportunity and I must not squander it.

Father, there are people here today who have never begun relationship with You. They know about You. They just don’t know You. They believe in God. They just don’t have a relationship with You. I pray that You will give them the courage to come home to You this Christmas season.
