The Gift of Repentance

Rod Shimabukuro

Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. Matthew 11:20

in His preaching and teaching circuit throughout the towns in Galilee, Jesus delivers seriously strong “woes” to the people who did not repent form their sins to believe Jesus. The miracles performed in the people’s presence was not enough to move them towards repentance.

To be denounced by Jesus is a pretty scary matter, yet the hearts of the people who witnessed Jesus’ ministry including His miracles chose not to repent.

Resurrection weekend is our (Christian’s) celebration of Jesus’ life, honoring the Father and Spirit who raised Jesus from the grave. The most profound, historically proven, life transforming miracle of all miracles occurred when a stone rolled away, found Jesus’ tomb empty!

My heart is first ecstatic, filled with immeasurable peace and joy, personally knowing Jesus, having repented of my sins! But my heart is grieved in knowing and experiencing rejection by people, family, friends... who reject the miracle of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.

I’m beyond blessed to be able to understand, experience and acknowledge the resurrection of Jesus, the Son, Savior and Risen Lord. Repentance has always been a gift to me - unwrapped and used everyday, through out the day!

Lord - Help me to be believing...all the days of my life! I never want to reject Your love, authority... and grow calloused or complacent in my relationship with You. Thank you for the gift of Your love, revelation and repentance!!
I love You - my Risen Savior, Lord - my God!!
