Restored Completely!

Rod Shimabukuro

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29
John the baptist, referred to as the forerunner, came preaching repentance, baptizing believers in the name of God prior to the ministry of Jesus. John preached of the forthcoming of the Lord, One mightier than he, who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.
Then the day came, after being interrogated by cynical Jewish leaders opposing his message, John proclaims the entrance of the Lamb of God - who takes away the sin of the world!
The Jews were well aware of the role of the sacrificial lamb during Passover. Jesus is introduced as the Lamb of God! The perfect, spotless, sacrificial lamb - to take the place of, remove, make retribution for sin!
I’m touched in heart with a joy, a deeper sense of honor and insight. I sense the Spirit of God touching me, showing me, opening my heart to understand what John saw - what he felt and understood, when he introduced Jesus as the Lamb of God - Jesus!
Jesus was introduced, not before a large stadium of paid customers, waiting to hear how some ”Superman or World Leader“ would resolve the woes, debt, wars of the world. He didn’t come in superstar fashion to be the answer for the worlds crisis - but rather introduced, likened to a sacrificial helpless lamb, who will take away sin!
I am different today - because of the Spirit’s touch and insight. I am deeply honored, grateful and humbled....once again. Realizing more and more, who Jesus is - and my sin problem has been taken care of! More than forgiveness - I have been restored completely to a healthy relationship with God!
Thank you Jesus - for coming as the Lamb of God, taking away my sin and restoring me back to You, forever!
