In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, Ephesians 1:11
In Ephesians 1, Paul points out who Jesus is, the person of God and His attributes in and through Jesus. I’d like to think that he magnifies who JESUS is IN ME, not so much who I AM in Him.

For me, there’s a sly shift in my spirit that I must be aware of. And that is the shift of highlighting ME.Verse 11 and Ephesians 1 is about HIM- not just all the benefits we receive by knowing, serving and loving Him!
It’s Biblical to teach and understand WHO I AM in Christ. But sometimes “WHO I AM” becomes more of the emphasis than ”in christ.“ IN CHRIST is good, correct Biblical thinking and theology. But IN CHRIST, at times in my heart, shrinks to ”in christ“ and WHO I AM becomes more of the focus (in my heart). This sounds like such a sad attitude. IT is and I’m calling it out! I want to proclaim WHO JESUS IS IN me - not just WHO I AM in christ.

I’m different and I will live different, shifting and constantly shifting my heart to magnify WHO JESUS IS…in me.

WOW GOD! I love YOU and am so grateful for Your love for me. I feel like my heart is exploding and beaming with Your love. I want to live this love out - unto You - as a husband to Beckie and father to Kai, Koa and Malia! Please reveal YOUR LARGE GREATNESS to each of us. I LOVE YOU JESUS!
