PASTORS' DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Pray For EscapeSam Kapu
"Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap;" (Luke 21:34)
There is no doubt that we are rapidly approaching the end of the end times. With the world seemingly spinning out of control with the economic woes with no where in sight, earthquake after earthquake, flood after flood. Instead of getting better things seem like there getting worse. It is natural to be overwhelmed by it all. Jesus gives us a warning saying, "don't be weighed down by the anxiety of this world". Later he says PRAY FOR YOUR ESCAPE. In other words things are going to get worse but even the more should we find refuge in the Lord. Even the more should we be driven to our knees seeking the only one that saves.
I cannot give in to the worries of my life. Financial, work related, relationships and all. The world may be getting worse but my God is still on the throne in my heart, and as long as I keep Him there; the world can spiral down, but with Jesus I'm moving toward glory. So need to GAURD MY HEART AND PRAY always.
Jesus you are the lover if my soul protect my heart from being weighed down by the fallen world around me. Let me shine your light the the ones who need you. In Your name I pray, amen.
