Fulfilled in my Father

Rod Shimabukuro

The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. Acts 17:24-25
This description of who God is in power, authority, supremacy is unmatched. Paul describes a personal and relational God to distinguish His Person with philosophers who believed basically that God was not in control. There dependence was on what they could control (ethics, morals, virtue) and the search for happiness through a life of peace and acts of pleasure.

But true existence, life and it’s meaning comes from God and His being/character.
This passage helps to secure my thought life and reconnects me back to who God is! The world around me and even in me, is so dependent upon my/our “own strength and efforts.” I desire to live differently by acknowledging my God - His greatness, Person, Authority, His Sovereignty - and trust Him with my family, finances, life, health.

With so many Christians facing great tests of struggle in marriage, family, work, finances, relationships, is my heart to be Faith-filled in Christ. I want Pauls reminder to the religious leaders and philosophers, to sink deeply in my heart so I don’t fall into the trap of believing any lies. Lies that happiness is found in anything or anyone else than a Spirit filled, obedient life in Jesus! I can only be and lived fulfilled in my Father!
DADDIE GOD! Only You - You alone are the Giver of Life, breath, grace and everything worth living for. Forgive me for my lack of patience and trust in You. I seem to always stray in thought from really acknowledging You - when I get so occupied with the “things of life.” You are the Greatest Dad! I am filled and fulfilled in You!
