God's Window of Hope

Marcus Sanders

- Micah 4:2 …People will stream to it, 2and many nations will come and say, “Come let us to up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us about His ways so we may walk in His paths.”
Micah was in a time when things concerning Judah and Israel were going south. There was warning because of unjust leaders, false prophets and the rejection of the Word of God. If I could pin point the main thing that everything else sprang from it would be they rejected God himself. The sad thing is that the remnant suffers for the majority. But not everything is doom and gloom. For from a small window God gives a glimpse of His restoration when people come back to Him. “He will teach us His ways so we may walk in His paths.” The greatest secret to live God’s way is found in Matt. 6:33 See first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.” God is a providing God. His hands are always open to provide for those who seek Him. In Micah’s window he saw many nations coming to the house of God to seek His ways. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the whole earth sought Him? One day in the future a majority will seek Him coming from places that we never thought. It will happen just as God said. For now it looks faint but in God’s clock it will take place. The seekers will come to walk in the ways of the Lord.
My life is part of this wonderful prophetic window. My wife and I recently constructed a bay window in our conversation room. Before the modifications there was just a wall with a picture glass window and a view straight ahead. We move the picture glass window out about 2 feet with 45-degree angles to connect to the wall on both sides. On both sides of the picture window will be windows installed. With the installation of the bay windows we now have a greater view to see clearer the landscape in the front of our home. God gives us a window’s glimpse of our future through His Word. But what opens up the view from the window is the secret of seeking Him. When I seek Him wholeheartedly, little by little God reconstructs the window to become more like a bay window, which gives more light. The more the light we let in the greater the clarity in knowing God.
Father I want to know You more. In this season of our new Church plant, reconstruct my window to see and hear You with greater clarity. I love You with all my heart.
