Dr. Wayne Cordeiro is Senior Pastor of New Hope Christian Fellowship O'ahu, a Foursquare church in Honolulu, Hawaii. New Hope began on September 10, 1995 and is one of the fastest growing churches in the nation. Over the last 12 years there have been 31,000 who have received Christ for the first time and the church has grown to over 12,000 weekend attendees. Eighty-three churches have been pioneered under New Hope's church-planting ministry outreach.
Outreach magazine has listed New Hope O'ahu as one of the top most 25 influential churches in America and one of the top ten most innovative.
Wayne was raised in Palolo valley on O'ahu and then lived in Japan for three years. He returned to Oregon where he graduated from Eugene Bible College. He served with Youth For Christ and as a staff pastor at Faith Center Foursquare Church, before returning to Hawaii.
In 1998, he founded Pacific Rim Bible College that trains, develops and supports emerging leaders who will plant twenty-first-century churches throughout the world.
Through New Hope International (NHI) Ministries, he shares his vision and life lessons with pastors from around the globe at the quarterly Leadership Practicum. NHI's sole purpose is to be a resource to existing ministries and to plant future churches. NHI has planted churches in the United States, Hawaii, Philippines, Myanmar, Japan, and Australia.
Wayne enjoys relaxing rides on his Harley-Davidson and writing music. He has released six albums to date. He has also authored eight books - Doing Church As A Team, Gems Along The Way, Attitudes that Attract Success, Rising Above, Culture Shift, Dream Releasers, , and the Divine Mentor. He is contributing author for church leadership books and has written articles for various magazines such as Leadership Journal. Pastor Wayne and his wife, Anna, have three children, Amy, Aaron, and Abigail and a granddaughter Katie.
